We wrapped up our fall COMPETE. Sports Performance Training program at Skill of Strength this past week and some of the improvements the high school athletes made were phenomenal. (We always test our high school athletes on the first and last day so that athletes see where and how they improved during the season.)

Strength Training for High School Athletes

In less than three months of training a few of these high school athletes more than doubled the amount of strict bodyweight pull-ups they could do. One athlete improved from 3 strict pull-ups to 8 strict pull-ups and another went from being able to do 7 strict pull-ups to 16 strict pull-ups!

Pullup Testing at Skill of Strength

One of our athletes added an entire foot (yes, 12 inches!) to his broad jump and another went from being able to deadlift 195lbs for 2 reps to being able to pull 240lbs for 2 reps.

These are only a few of the highlights, but these athletes made some remarkable progress this fall and we’re looking forward to seeing how well they perform on the ice and courts this winter!

Sports Performance Chelmsford MA

When we asked these athletes if they would recommend our sports performance training program to other high school athletes in the Chelmsford area here’s what a few of them said:

“Yes, because it gives you strength so you don’t get injured.”

“I would recommend it because it is not only challenging but fun and the trainers strive to help you improve.”

“I would recommend the COMPETE program because of the great atmosphere. It’s very focused and fun. It’s easy to come in every day and go to work.”

Conditioning Programs for High School Athletes

Our winter COMPETE. sports performance training programs, start on December 2. We have programs that are appropriate for all high school athletes, including those who are in-season and those who are prepping for a spring sport.

There’s still time to register for our free sports performance training trial week next week. We’re offering three workouts after school (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and all workouts are open to any interested high school athletes.
